India and Finland Strengthen Trade and Industry Partnership with New MoUs and High-Level Economic Engagements
Union Minister Piyush Goyal’s Finland visit strengthens India-Finland economic ties through new institutional MoUs, ministerial discussions and industry engagements. The collaboration focuses on trade, investment, digital technologies, clean energy, space, bio-economy, circular economy, infrastructure and advanced manufacturing partnerships between both countries.
The visit marked a significant step towards expanding India-Finland economic ties, with the signing of two institutional Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), ministerial-level discussions and extensive engagements between Indian and Finnish industries across key sectors.
On the sidelines of the Business Forum, two Memoranda of Understanding were signed to establish new institutional frameworks for enhancing business collaboration. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) signed an MoU with Business Finland, while another MoU was signed between CII and the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK). These agreements aim to promote industry cooperation and facilitate greater business engagement between India and Finland.
Indian and Finnish companies participated in sector-specific discussions covering digital and frontier technologies, space, clean energy, bio-economy, circular economy, infrastructure and advanced manufacturing. The interactions focused on identifying opportunities for collaboration, investment and technology partnerships between businesses of both nations.
The high-level engagements during the visit highlighted the shared commitment of India and Finland to deepen economic cooperation, strengthen industry-to-industry partnerships and create new avenues for innovation-driven growth across multiple sectors.
